What's a DNI or a RBF?

DNI stands for Do Not Interact (If), and RBF stands for Read Before Following.
While the exact origins of these kinds of sections for online user's about pages is unknown, it most likely comes from Tumblr.
Having a DNI/RBF is a simple way to set boundaries. While we may be online, the people we interact with are still real people and deserve respect.
As DNI/RBFs became more popular, so did the tendency to say "...and standard DNI criteria." But what is IS standard DNI critieria? It's hard to say.
That's where this Carrd comes in, aiming to explain terms you might see on someone's RBF/DNI section, to try to be a resource for everyone.

This Carrd is currently a work in progress. Full descriptions for each group will be added when I'm able.

Bigots

Groups/types of people that are bigoted. Reasons someone might put these on their RBF/DNI might include: They are part of the groups these bigots harm, they care about the groups these bigots harm (as all people should).

LGBTphobe

➥ LGBTPhobe is typically used to mean anyone bigoted against any LGBT(QIAP+)/queer identity.

Homophobe

➥ A homophobe is someone who is bigoted against gay people, and therefore contributes to homophobic violence. Examples may include fetishistic ideas (assuming all gay relationships are sexual), gatekeeping who is/isn't gay when not identifying as gay themself, using religion as an excuse to invalidate gay people, etc.

Lesbophobe, butchphobe

➥ Lesbophobes contribute to lesbian-specific oppression. Examples includes fetishistic ideas (assuming all lesbian relationships are sexual), gatekeeping who is/isn't a lesbian when not identifying as one themself, refuse to stop using the pink/lipstick flag even when informed, etc.
➥ Butchphobes are bigoted against butches, who are often (but not always) lesbians, and examples may include invalidatin them based on their presentation, may making comments like "if you're butch you may as well be a trans man", etc.

Biphobe

➥ Biphobes contribute to bi-specific oppression. Examples include fetishistic ideas (assuming bisexuals are all only concerned with sex, instantly asking anyone who's bi if they're into threesomes), gatekeeping who is/isn't bi when not identifying as bi themself, asserting that bi = two only, asserting that bi = attraction to men & women, asserting that you cannot be bi and attracted to trans people/must be pan to be attracted to trans people, etc.

Transphobe, Nonbinary Exclusive

➥ Transphobes contribute to transphobic oppression. Examples include fetishistic ideas (assuming being trans is a fetish, consuming transphobic porn that focuses on trans bodies), using slurs like f-mboy, tr-p & f-ta, asserting that you must be pan to be attracted to trans people, "gatekeeping who is/isn't trans based on presentation, dysphoria, pronouns, or other factors, or excusing transphobia by saying "it's just a joke, etc.

TERF, SWERF, Etc, Gender Critical

➥ TERF is an acronym for Trans Excluding/Erasing Radical Feminist. There are countless variants, ending in ERF. A TERF believes that trans women are predatory cis men who enter women's spaces to assault cis women, etc.
➥ SWERF is an acronym for Sex Worker Excluding/Erasing Radical Feminist. A SWERF believes willing sex workers (people who make sexually charged content or perform sex acts for money) are unworthy of women's spaces, not feminist, etc.

Anti-MOGAI, MOGAIphobe, Truscum, Transmed

➥ Anti-MOGAI is somewhat unclearly defined, but usually refers to a type of exclusionist who considers certain neolabels to be "too much," to be "unnecessary" and therefore invalid, often asserting it makes the entire trans community seem bad, using the word "MOGAI" to mean any label (even often 'commonly accepted' ones like genderfluid, agender or pansexual) they consider invalid. This specific type of transphobia/combined bigotry is sometimes called MOGAIphobia.
➥ Truscum and transmeds believe that dysphoria is a requirement of being transgender, and non-dysphoric or mainly euphoric trans people are faking. Other possible examples of their behavior may be drawing caricatures, being nonbinary exclusive, sometimes to the point of claiming nonbinary people don't exist at all, racism/binarism, misappropriation of the word "kweer", framing being trans as an illness, etc.
➜ The ⚔️ (sword) emoji may be used to identify truscum/transmeds (especially on Twitter), and the 🛡 (shield) emoji for anti-truscum/transmeds.

Aphobe, Acephobe, Arophobe
➥ Aphobes are typically described as combination arophobic & acephobic, or people who contribute to oppression that affects all a-spectrum labels. Examples include excluding a-spectrum people from the community, asserting that a-spectrum people are the same as hetero people, ignoring a-spectrum history, claiming that a-spectrum people don't experience corrective sexual assault or bigotry, claiming that the A in the acronym is for ally, asserting that a-spectrum identities are only used by young people, etc.
➥ Acephobes contribute to acephobic oppression. Examples include claiming aces can be/are cishet/the same as hetero people, claiming that asexual is a new label, using acephobia as an excuse for lesbophobia, racism, etc.

Alt-right
Nazi

Ableist
Racist, All Lives Matter, Cop Bootlicker

Sexual Offenders & Similar Dangers

Groups/types of people that, instead of having harmless fetishes (like for example, having a fetish for leather boots or glasses), practice or excuse harmful paraphilias such as pedophilia, DDLG or zoophilia. Reasons someone might put these on their RBF/DNI might include: They are part of the groups these offenders harm, they care about the groups these offenders harm (as all people should), they have been traumatized in the past by these groups, etc.

MAP, NOMAP, Pro-contact,
VIRPED/Virtous Pedophile, Anti-anti, Pro-shipper, Poppytwt
➥ MAP is an acronym for a pedophile, standing for Minor Attracted Person.
➥ An 'anti' (when the word is used on its own, in the context of 'shipping discourse' as it may be labeled) means someone who is against romanticized depictions of abuse, pedophilia, incest, rape, etc in fiction. An anti-anti is the reverse of that, and defends creating fictional pedophilia/etc, which is illegal/falls under child pornography laws in multiple places, may be used to groom children and cause them trauma and assault, etc.
